1. User-Generated Content Responsibility

Tomodachi is a social community platform where users can upload posts, photos, videos, and other content. All content uploaded to the platform is created and owned by the users, not by Tomodachi.

By uploading content, users confirm that:

  • They own the content or
  • They have the necessary rights, licenses, or permissions to use any music, images, videos, or other copyrighted materials included in their posts.

Users are fully responsible for any copyright infringement that occurs through the content they upload.

2. No Copyrighted Material Without Permission

Users may not upload or share:

  • Copyrighted video clips
  • Copyrighted images
  • Content taken from movies, TV shows, YouTube videos, or any third-party sources

unless they have the proper rights or permission to use such content.

Tomodachi does not provide copyrighted music or materials for users to use in their posts.

3. Platform Liability (Safe Harbor Protection)

Tomodachi operates under the principle of Safe Harbor for online service providers. This means:

  • Tomodachi is not liable for copyrighted materials uploaded by users
  • Tomodachi will take reasonable steps to remove infringing content when properly notified
  • Tomodachi does not review or screen content for copyright ownership before it is posted

4. Copyright Infringement Reports (DMCA-Style Takedown Process)

If you believe your copyrighted work has been used on Tomodachi without permission, you may submit a formal takedown request.

  1. A description of the copyrighted work
  2. A link or screenshot of the infringing content on Tomodachi

Tomodachi will:

  • Review the request
  • Remove or disable access to the content if it is found to infringe copyright
  • Notify the user who posted the content
  • Take further action if repeat violations occur

5. Repeat Offender Policy

Users who repeatedly upload copyrighted content without permission may face:

  • Content removal
  • Temporary account suspension
  • Permanent account termination

Tomodachi reserves the right to take action to protect copyright owners and maintain compliance.

6. Counter-Notice Procedure

If a user believes their content was removed by mistake or misidentification, they may file a counter-notice by emailing:

7. Updates to This Policy

Tomodachi may update this Copyright Policy from time to time. Continued use of the platform means acceptance of the updated policy.
